Amanda Nakashian, DNP, WHNP
Amanda Nakashian, DNP, WHNP is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at Northwest Oncology’s Gynecologic Oncology Department. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice in Women’s Health at Arizona State University. Amanda implemented postpartum depression screening as her evidence-based practice project and presented her findings at the American Association of Nurse Practitioners 28th National Conference.
Amanda has had extensive clinical experience in obstetrics/gynecology, family planning, menopause management, perinatal care, and gynecologic oncology. She has worked with Dr. Sameer Sharma in Gynecologic Oncology since 2013. Amanda graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. She worked as a Nurse on a renal transplant unit and in hospice. She is an active member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She has been a Mentor/Volunteer for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Arizona, and she has provided medical care on a Haiti Mission Trip.
